episode #18 revealed that the world exists in a time loop caused by God continually enacting Ragnarok.
- Episode #19 is likely to delve into metafiction with how it sets up a manga as a central plot device.
Even with all the twists and turns of recent episodes, Undead Unluck episode #19 has a good chance of being the wildest and most inventive episode of the show yet. Something like that would be an excellent follow-up to the events of episode #18, and it makes the wait for episode #19 all the more exciting.

What Happened In Undead Unluck Episode 18?
In Undead Unluck episode #18, “Cry For The Moon”, Juiz finally revealed the big secret she was hiding from everyone: the world is locked in a continuous loop of death and rebirth at the hands of God. Every time God enacts Ragnarok, Juiz uses the artifact Ark to evade the destruction and travel to the new timeline. At the same time, Victor, who was confirmed to have once been part of the Union, was always the only survivor of Ragnarok thanks to Undead, thus allowing him to travel between each loop alongside Juiz.
Undead Unluck: Every Union Member & Their Abilities Explained
The Union is the main heroic group of Negators in Undead Unluck, and here’s a breakdown of every character and their various abilities in the series.
After relaying everything to the Union, Juiz begged for forgiveness for hiding everything and even offered her life as penance, but no one wanted to be mad at her, and they instead chose to keep believing in her. With that taken care of, the Union finally resumed discussing Apocalypse’s latest quests, with a new topic of discussion being defeating Billy and Under and reclaiming the Roundtable. To help with that, Fuuko and Andy were told to investigate a manga that seemed to be predicting the future, and said manga happened to be Fuuko’s favorite manga, To You, From Me.
With everything set up for Undead Unluck episode #19, it looks like episode #19 will delve much deeper into its meta commentary. The next arc will revolve around the inner workings of an in-universe manga, and between Juiz’s hammy narration about manga in the preview and the title of episode #19 being “Undead + Unluck”, there’s bound to be a lot of meta-commentary on the series and manga, in general. A story like Undead Unluck can get a lot of mileage out of that sort of writing, and it will be great to see how it all plays out in the next episode.
Be sure to watch Undead Unluck episode #19 when it releases on February 16.
